Day One

I decided to start this blog so everyone can keep up with things that are going on in our house. So I will start with recent events of the past week in this post and go from there.

Last Saturday, Joel took Jake to get a big boy bike at Toys R Us. Jake picked a green one and a new red Lightening McQueen helmet. The boy will wear his helmet all day long if you let him. I think he would even sleep with it on.

It took him maybe 30 minutes to figure out how to pedal the bike and has been on it every day since. Here is a short video of him riding his bike. Hopefully we can take him down to the park this weekend so he has more room to ride.

Savannah is getting so big. Since starting daycare, she has become much more mobile. She can go from laying on her belly to sitting up and vice versa. No crawling yet though. She also got her first tooth. It is so cute to see that little tooth in there when she opens her mouth. She is trying very hard to keep up with her big brother and thinks he is the funniest thing in the world.

Jake and daddy also bought a costume for Halloween when they were out getting his bike. Jake decided to be "Piderman" because all the big boys at daycare are obsessed with Spiderman. Savannah is going to dress up as Tinkerbell thanks to the hand-me-down costume from her cousin Maggie.
